Exceptionally gifted pupils with a double exceptionality in the process of primary and secondary education

The diploma thesis focuses on the approach towards pupils with a double exceptionality. The investigated sample is made up of three pupils with a diagnosed exceptional talent parallelly with another handicap, these diagnoses in particular - specific learning disorders, ADHD, behaviour disorders, Asperger's syndrome, debilitation in the social-emotional area, affective instability and increased anxiety. The goal of the diploma thesis is to find out about the teaching methods, describe the procedures and circumstances of education on a sample of three pupils with various matches of exceptional talent and handicap. To observe which procedures have influenced the approaches of the pupil towards aducation. How this pupil has been accepted in a group of peers. To win the answers to the research questions the research was divided into two stages. The first stage includes the analysis of the pupils'personal documents. During the second stage semi-structured interviews with the pupil and their class teacher took place. The results of the interviews were won by means of open coding. The overall results show that the means of support and teaching methods vary depending on the teacher's knowledge of double exceptionality, and whether the teacher respects the recommendations listed in the individual education...
Gifted students in basic school

The central theme of this work is the issue of gifted and exceptionally gifted pupils and their education in primary schools. The theoretical part of the work deals with terminology, models of giftedness, characteristic manifestations of gifted students, cognitive and non-intellectual features and a specific group of gifted children, which consists mainly of students with double exceptionality and underperformance. It also analyzes the educational and educational needs of the gifted, provides an overview of legislative documents related to it, and presents approaches recommended by experts that can be effectively applied to gifted students in compulsory school education. The aim of the research part is to analyze the experiences of pedagogues - educational advisors - with gifted pupils at primary schools in the Rychnov nad Kněžnou region, through self-constructed questionnaires, at the same time to analyze their attitudes, approaches and orientation in the issue, as well as how nomination and identification of these pupils takes place and how they are supported in their education. Specifics of the integration of exceptionally gifted children in kindergarten

This thesis deals with the integration of gifted children to kindergarten. It outlines the needs and demands of these children - parents, educators, environment, forms and methods of education. The practical part focuses on specific research - identifying gifted children in kindergarten and on the conditions of their education. The research was conducted by e-mail between kindergarten teachers in all 14 regions of the Czech Republic. The practical part is supplemented by two case report of exceptionally gifted children (a boy and a girl) who are (resp. were) integrated and educated in private nursery schools. Conclusion The thesis contains suggestions for how to practice.
